Foreign study groups

The SAKK is well connected within the oncological research community in Europe and regularly conducts clinical studies in cooperation with foreign study groups. Not only does the SAKK take part in selected studies of foreign cooperative groups, assuming the role of representative for the foreign sponsor in Switzerland. Foreign study groups and individual hospitals abroad also take part in SAKK studies.

The SAKK teams up with foreign research groups especially in research on rare tumour diseases in which the number of patients in Switzerland is too small.
