The SAKK Patient Advisory Board has fortunately grown by one new member. We would like to welcome Dr. Isabelle Roos and wish her much joy and success in her new position.

The Patient Advisory Board was founded in November 2015 in order to better understand the experiences and needs of cancer patients and their relatives, and to incorporate these needs in our research proposals. 

Dr. Isabelle Roos: “My interest in medical issues was already awakened as a child by my father, a country doctor. After studying chemistry and biochemistry and a few years of research, I joined the pharmaceutical world in various positions. Thus, I have already been confronted with clinical trials in various indications. My own oncological disease a few years ago reset my priorities and allowed me to appreciate the strength of life in the present.

Now that my professional life is behind me, I want to devote my time and energy to something that I think is important. I have been impressed by the professionalism of my new colleagues on the SAKK Patient Advisory Board and hope to be able to contribute to it.”
