He also addresses controversial subjects such as diets and fasting.
Marlies Schmid has worked as a hospice nurse for many years, and over 20 years ago she completed a training course as a dance and exercise therapist. In cooperation with a number of cantonal cancer leagues, she offers dance and exercise courses for cancer patients. She explains how music and movement can contribute to personal well-being, improve awareness of one's own body, and help patients to cope with the disease. The lecture concludes with a practical activity and a personal account from a participant in one of her courses.
In the discussion session moderated by Dr. Sander Botter from the SAKK Patient Advisory Board, the speakers discuss how to integrate exercise, nutrition and mindfulness into everyday life and explore their effects.
