The Swiss Cancer League has awarded the Robert Wenner Award since 1983. The award is assigned to scientists for outstanding cancer research.

The award winner will receive 80,000 francs for an ongoing research project. Research work carried out by Swiss citizens abroad or by non-Swiss applicants, who have carried out a majority of their work in Switzerland, will also be considered. The applicant must have made a contribution to cancer research, care or control in any domain - basic, clinical, epidemiological, psychosocial research.
